When you lose weight by burning fat, where does the fat go? How does it get out? Most people think we sweat it out, but no: we breathe it out.
Your body uses carbohydrates for energy, and when you dont eat enough, your body burns fat. Fat is stored as triglycerides, which are made of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen and metabolized into carbon dioxide and water. When you lose 1kg of weight, you literally breathed out 840g of weight as CO2. The remaining 160g turns into H2O and is peed out.
